There are two posted handicap parking spaces at the base of the paved, upsloping sidewalk that leads to the front door.
There’s a door threshold to negotiate getting into the building, but everything inside is flat.
Our chairs aren’t permanently fastened down, so people in wheelchairs can sit anywhere they want.
The roll-in restroom adjoins the space, and has grab bars.
The floor in the performance room is the original slab-on-grade concrete from 1925. There are some areas where settling and age have made potential trip hazards for those with balance issues, shuffling gaits, or cane users. A normal amount of caution is appropriate.
If we were able, we’d have fulltime ASL, assistive listening devices, audio descriptions of visual elements, all the things. If you need something like that, or anything else, please contact us and we’ll do our level best.
Until recently, there was an artisan soapmaker in the building. Soap smells and scents will continue to linger for a bit longer. If you come to a show and find it unbearable and need to leave, let us know and we’ll refund your admission.
If you’re a performer with disabilities that prevent you from getting onto our low stage (about 8″), we can move the audience back and have you in front of the stage. We’ve done it, it works fine.
