Sled Wrenches and Bird Boombox at Stage 33 Live
BELLOWS FALLS — A matinee pair of undiscovered bands at Stage 33 Live in Bellows Falls, Vermont… Sled Wrenches down from Bradford up in the northeast, and Bird Boombox also from up there but on the other side of the state, on May 18, 2025, at 3:00 PM. This show is exactly the kind of thing Stage 33 Live was born for — to give emerging acts a shot.
Sled Wrenches plays original country, blues, rock, island, and a bit of jazz. They have a newly released album called Stay Wrenched, and we suspect they’ve got a comedic streak. One of their members is Don Sinclair, the very talented and tasteful guitarist for David Rosane and The Zookeepers, who have played Stage 33 Live twice raising money for the library.
Bird Boombox is a trio that describes themselves as “alternative angst”, but they’re a lot less shoegazey and emo than that label might suggest. Elsewhere they’re described as “a vessel for the vibrations of the natural world and a catalyst for community connection,” which isn’t as catchy but probably more accurate. Their lead singer / guitarist, Josh Cummings, hit one of our increasingly rare open mics a while ago and turned in a quirky, engaging performance.
This one will be a voyage of discovery.
Sled Wrenches and Bird Boombox will play the Stage 33 Live listening room at 33 Bridge Street in Bellows Falls, Vermont, on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 3:00 PM.
