1/26/20: Gibson

Gibson sent us a poster for his upcoming show – no cover! Now there are no excuses left. See you there.

Gibson says, “I write songs, and I play guitar while singing those songs.” But it’s more complicated than that. Think Tom Lehrer plus Jonathon Coulton times two minus satire, hyper-strummed yet somehow deeply rooted in throwback coffeehouse folk. Often earnestly dark, but always with an impish grin… geeky, enthusiastic, energetic. There’s no easy way to describe his music, but he’s smart and a load of fun. Get your weird on.

Stage 33 Live is providing the canvas, but doesn’t really know what he’s got up his sleeve. At Gibson’s request, no cover… free show! 7:00 PM start on January 26 at Stage 33 Live, 33 Bridge Street in Bellows Falls, Vermont. The performance will be recorded and filmed.

Stage 33 Live is pleased to host listening events this winter featuring up-and-coming area musicians including Owen Nied, Gibson, Jenna Rice, Emily Lyons, and others. Seeing them play a little unassuming place in Bellows Falls will lock in hipster cred when success knocks on their doors.

Stage 33 Live is an intimate, industrial-rustic listening room in a former factory located at 33 Bridge Street in Bellows Falls, VT, documenting live performances and presentations of original material on a simple stage. Coffee, soda, water, and snacks by donation. Find more info about the nonprofit, all-volunteer project, and this and other other upcoming events, online at stage33live.com
