March 12 at 7:30 AM: The world is nutso at the moment, and a LOT has happened in just the last few hours. Dan and Jan and Mike have all agonized over whether or not the show should go on – it looked like it was going to be a go, but yesterday the dominoes really started toppling. The prudent decision has been made to cancel. Dan is suspending his entire tour, and Jan and Mike are hunkering down. (Jan is in the at-risk category, and the world definitely needs her for a long while longer.) We hope to reschedule this show when things are back to a generally happy and secure normal.

Dan Weber and The Milkhouse Heaters co-headline in Bellows Falls
BELLOWS FALLS — Dan Weber won first place in the 2019 Woody Guthrie songwriting contest, and is a rare three-time finalist in Kerrville’s ‘New Folk’ competition. His songs have been described as “reminiscent of early John Prine” and “insightful and awfully funny.” His album What I’m Lookin’ For rose to #2 on the folk charts, and he’s toured extensively across the country.
Weber didn’t start performing in public until he was 40, but immediately began winning over audiences with energetic performances and hilarious stories… he’s been described as “The Classic Mid-Life Overnight Sensation.” He’s also a former National Park Service Ranger, recovering altar boy, Eagle Scout, and lifelong Deadhead.
He’s a three-time invited performer at the Roots on the River festival, and Stage 33 Live is pleased to have him back in the area.

The Milkhouse Heaters are beloved in these parts. In addition to their strong writing and performing chops, they’re a pair of the most ardent supporters of local live music and considerate living to be found anywhere.
Jan and Mike are refugees of the Boston music scene, where they were nominated for a Boston Music Award and shared the stage with The Black Crowes, Corey Glover, Fuel, Feeder, and Hum, and their songs are on compilations alongside the likes of G. Love and Special Sauce, Jack Johnson, Burning Spear, and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Their music has been licensed to television shows on ABC, VH1, MTV, ESPN, and ESPN 2.
They moved to southern Vermont in 2003. Mike bought an acoustic guitar and started writing Americana songs. With Jan on bass, they became The Milkhouse Heaters. Highlights since then — among many — include closing for Billy Bragg and opening for Fred Eaglesmith, having two of their songs featured on The Shoulder to the Plough CD, and being repeat invited performers at the Roots on the River Festival.
This co-headline show is on Sunday, March 15, 7:00 PM at Stage 33 Live, 33 Bridge Street in Bellows Falls, Vermont. The performances will be recorded and filmed. Seating is limited to 40. At the performers’ request, tickets are just $10 both in advance and at the door. Advance tickets double as best-in-house chair reservations front and center.
